ningata Kinda growing up with Nuclear Throne and seeing a sort of send off with this is wonderful. Thank you.

Verd-E I'm always glad to see this game popping back up again, despite Vlambeer coming to a close. I'd probably consider it my favorite.

The style of the song feels perfect for an anniversary/sendoff.
I especially like the buildup that starts at 3:19.

Scott I've been playing Nuclear Throne for five years, and I feel like I'm only now starting to get good. There are many reasons why it's kept me hooked for so long, but the soundtrack is a huge part of it. Bless you, you lovely Finnish bard.

about

The ending song of 'Nuclear Throne' revisited, for the 5th anniversary of the game.

lyrics

Gun smoke in the air
Friend weeping in pain
Blood pools everywhere
It's pouring acid rain
Our homes destroyed
Wishing this to end
Hey, someone's coming here
I hope it's a friend

It's not fair, it's not right
There's no reason to fight
But still that is our daily life
Guns loaded, blind hatred
No eyes that are kind
And no sleep at night

Kings and queens of wasteland we were
And already forgotten the reasons to fight
From the day we were born was bloodshed forever
We've seen enough comrades go dead in the night

Distant call for help
Only thing I can hear
Fläshyn
What did they just say
Only beam of light in our lives are
Occasional mutated fish
I'm not even sure if it's OK to eat but still it feels like
We were granted a wish

It's not fair, it's not right
There's no reason to fight
But still that is our daily life
Guns loaded, blind hatred
No eyes that are kind
And no sleep at night

Kings and queens of wasteland we were
And already forgotten the reasons to fight
From the day we were born was bloodshed forever
We've seen enough comrades go dead in the night

And kings and queens of wasteland we still are
After so many fights the ground soaked in blood
Today is the day we all call ourselves free
And we throw all our weapons in to the sludge
